Transfer Credits

Here at West Coast University, we aim to make your transfer experience as easy and convenient as possible.

Transfer Credits

West Coast University's transfer credit site is intended as a guide for our prospective transfer students and is still a work in progress.

Click here to access the West Coast University Transfer Equivalency System (TES)

Directions on how to use the TES (Transfer Equivalency System):

  • Using the Alphabetical Index, choose the institution(s) that you have previously attended and click the link
  • Locate the course(s) you have taken and click the checkmark located under the "note" column to determine how West Coast University may apply your credits
  • The “Note” section in the heading will indicate as to whether or not West Coast University accepts the course as an equivalency.
  • After reviewing the course and its equivalency status in notes, you can click on the checkbox, located under the "checkbox" column, and then click on the "Add/View My List" button to create a customized list of potential transfer credits.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: My institution is not listed on the TES site; does that mean WCU will not accept my units?
A: Not necessarily. Institutions voluntarily participate in the TES system so exclusion from the TES site does not necessarily indicate that credits will not be accepted. Please contact the registrar's office for clarification.

Q: I see my course(s) listed on TES; does that mean that WCU will automatically be accepted?
A: No, the TES system is subject to changes at the University's discretion as equivalencies are reviewed by Academic Leadership. Also, West Coast University displays courses that are NOT eligible for transfer to provide as much information as possible for students to effectively plan their education.

Q: I do not see my course(s) listed on TES; does that mean WCU has denied that course?
A: No. WCU lists all courses that have been reviewed for equivalency, whether approved or denied. If a course is not listed in TES, WCU has not received an evaluation request for this course. Please collect a syllabus and an official transcript for this course and submit it to your registrar's office so an evaluation can be determined.

For any additional questions, please visit your registrar's office.

The information on our TES system is a guide to how classes at your current or former school may transfer to WCU, effective June term 2011. The fact that a course appears in the list is no guarantee that the course will transfer in your individual case. Our equivalency system is subject to frequent revision. The catalog dates for each institution reflect the latest revision date for transfer equivalencies from that school.

Final determination of transfer credit acceptance is ultimately made by the Subject Matter Experts (SME), once a complete transfer evaluation packet is received. A transfer evaluation packet is not complete without official transcripts of all completed coursework.
