West Coast University-Orange County and Torrance Memorial Celebrate Graduates

On Oct. 21, West Coast University nursing administration, Career Services and University Relations were invited to participate in a celebratory dinner with Torrance Memorial Medical Center, one of West Coast’s clinical partners.

“Over the past two academic years, Torrance Memorial has hired almost two dozen West Coast University-Orange County nursing graduates,” Nursing Academics Associate Dean Susan Condie, PhD(c), MSN, RN, shared. “It was a great evening filled with camaraderie between our school, graduates and our clinical partner Torrance Memorial.”

WCU representatives were invited to celebrate and recognize those nurses, and WCU OC nursing alumni, who had recently completed the Versant nursing residency program as well as other nurses who were just beginning their journey.

“This is a wonderful opportunity that Torrance has given me and my classmates,” WCU nursing alum Julie Tran said. “WCU has prepared us well.”

In attendance representing WCU was: Ramona Beltran, WCU-OC Career Services specialist; Juan Caluya, WCU-OC nursing faculty; Susan Condie; Julie France, director of clinical-instructional development; Ann Marie Rivera, WCU-OC director of Career Services; and Tina Rivera, University director of Career Services.
