West Coast University-Miami held its second pinning ceremony this January, beginning 2017 by helping 14 more new bachelor of science in nursing graduates become nurses.

The BSN pinning ceremony was held on Jan. 21 at the Graham Center on the Florida International University campus.
To begin the event, WCU-Miami executive director Joshua Padron welcomed friends and family of the graduating cohort, while WCU-Miami nursing faculty Beverly Craig shared about the nursing tradition.
Cohort representatives Lizette Yrarragorry and Carlos Santiesteban provided the student message to the crowd and their classmates. Dr. Padron and WCU-Miami nursing dean Claudette Spalding helped each graduate receive their pin and sash, with Dr. Spalding also giving the closing remarks.
