West Coast University-Miami welcomed 20 new nurses into the ranks on Aug. 19.
WCU-Miami executive director Joshua Padron kicked off the pinning ceremony, held at Florida International University, along with professor Maria Perez, who spoke to the tradition of the nursing pin. WCU-Miami Nursing Dean Claudette Spalding gave the closing remarks.
“The venue was filled to capacity with family, friends, faculty and staff,” Spalding said, “and everyone seemed to have a warm and congratulatory time.”
