West Coast University students from the Center for Graduate left this November’s Career Day with new advice, new connections and new confidence as they start their career journey.
Thanks to the hard work of the Career Services teams at CGS and WCU-Online, the students from WCU’s master of health administration, masters of public health and doctor of physical therapy programs met with 10 key partners at the event, including recruiters from the Los Angeles Unified School District, M.E.N.D. and the Center for Discovery. Besides meeting recruiters, the students also got to network with their fellow WCU peers, as well as get valuable advice from the employers.
“Eye contact is a big one,” Whitney Rodgers, Center for Discovery facilities manager, said. “Confidence is key, even if you are scared to come and talk to someone you don’t know.”
