WCU Alumni Spotlight: Cynthia Pezeshgian, RN, BSN ’18

Since graduating from West Coast University in 2018 with her bachelor’s of science in nursing degree, Cynthia Pezeshgian has acquired a diverse background from bedside nursing to psychiatric and aesthetics.

One of just 10 applicants chosen out of 500, Cynthia was accepted to Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center’s new graduate nurse residency program. Currently a telemetry nurse at Kaiser Permanente, Cynthia works with cardiac disease, stroke, and pulmonary complication patients.

Cynthia’s passion for her profession knows no bounds – her experiences with each one of her patients has only fueled her desire to continue her education. It is this drive that has brought Cynthia back to WCU’s master’s program, where she is pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner.

“I am thankful to WCU for preparing me and giving me the knowledge to become a successful nurse that I am today.”

Would you like to share a positive message with current nursing students?

One thing I say when nursing students ask me for advice is to keep working hard and never give up! Always know that it will all be worth it in the end.
