From speedy start dates to its flexible class schedules and even a fondness for the signature uniforms, West Coast University alumni are speaking out about what led them to choose WCU.
Lauren A. was encouraged to join the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at WCU-Los Angeles after reaching out to a friend who was already a student there.
“She said WCU had a good reputation and a good NCLEX pass rate,” Lauren said. “At that time, I realized this is where I need to go.”
WCU-LA BSN alumni Shelby L. said she liked the fact that she could start quickly and get through her program at an accelerated pace. Once she completed the program, Shelby said she felt prepared for the NCLEX exam and capable of caring for her patients.
“I was able to start working in the field and helping people sooner,” Shelby said.
Aileena D. said she was drawn to the WCU-Ontario campus culture and appreciated the flexibility offered by the university in accommodating her schedule to join the BSN program.
“I liked the campus, I saw how the cohorts were, and I really liked their uniforms,” she said.
Sally V. wanted a school where she would be surrounded by other nurses. She joined the BSN program at WCU-Ontario and continued her education with WCU’s online master’s program for her family nurse practitioner degree.
“When I decided to be a nurse practitioner, there was no hesitation in my mind,” Sally said. “I knew I wanted to come back home to West Coast University.”
