PharmD Students Volunteer at Fullerton Health and Wellness Community Event

West Coast University School of Pharmacy students collaborated with the Fullerton Community Center to participate in the fifth annual Health & Wellness Fair this August.

Students engaged with about 200 people in the community and also provided blood pressure checks, blood glucose screenings and diabetes education to about 50 attendees.

“It was encouraging to see the entire community attend an event focused on preventative measures for improvement of their own health,” WCU PharmD student Liana Gevorgyan said. “As health care professionals, we input our small token of knowledge onto their health, hoping to make a difference in their lives.”
