WCU Celebrates Hooding 26 New MSOT Graduates

In a packed room of family and friends, 26 West Coast University master of occupational therapy graduates made their way to the front of the room for the start of their hooding ceremony on Aug. 9.

MSOT Dean Stacey Willis began the ceremony by welcoming the graduates, friends and family in the audience.

“I would like to begin by giving a special thank you to the faculty, associates, friends, and family in attendance,” she said. “Without your dedication to our students, today would not be possible.”

After the keynote address from WCU professor Dr. Bryant Edwards, the graduates lined up to receive their hoods. As each graduate crossed the stage, a faculty member placed a hood over their academic regalia signifying their mastery of occupational therapy.

Graduates Caitlyn Brandt and Bao Hoang were called out to receive the academic achievement award and the founding dean’s award, respectively.

Congratulations to the Blue Cohort! You can find photos from the event on our Facebook page.
