West Coast University students from multiple campuses and programs got together this September to learn about and with each other for Interprofessional Education Day.
“IPE Day is an opportunity for students to work together on a case, an actual patient case and they work out patient care, a treatment plan and discharge plan while also learning how to work through differences and conflicts,” WCU professor and 2018 IPE Day chair Heather Thomas said.
More than 450 WCU students across three states participated in IPE Day, either physically or virtually via online, Thomas said. More than 70 faculty members participated, with another 20 acting as moderators.
