The Notable Alumni award was presented to Mr. William Gray. Mr. Gray has been a wonderful connection into WCU’s history. Before WCU transitioned to a healthcare focus in 1997 it hosted a variety of different programs including engineering, mathematics, and business degrees. Mr. Gray graduated in 1976 with a BS in Computer Science as well as an MS in Systems Engineering. Prior to attending WCU, Mr. Gray served in the US Air Force and played trumpet in various Air Force bands. Although he now lives in South Carolina he continues to support our alumni and future alumni virtually through our social media channels, always encouraging and telling stories of WCU’s past.
