Orthotics

Orthotics is a specialized field in healthcare that focuses on designing and fitting medical devices, such as braces, splints, and shoe inserts, to support or correct musculoskeletal conditions. Orthotics play a vital role in rehabilitation, improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing function for individuals with injuries, neurological disorders, or chronic conditions. In Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) and Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) programs, students learn how orthotic interventions assist patients in regaining independence in daily activities and improving overall quality of life.
