Biography

Dr. Arce (she/her) was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Pre-Clinical Allied Health from the University of Central Florida in 2013. She graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2019. Dr. Arce is an ABPTS Board-Certified Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy.

She has an extensive history of promoting the value and role of physical therapy in the acute care setting, particularly in treating patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions. Her expertise is treating critically ill patients pre-/post-organ transplantation, and she has also worked in the continuum of care from acute care to acute rehabilitation to outpatient settings. Her research has focused on physical therapy outcome measures pre-heart and pre-left ventricular assistive device transplant to predict morbidity following transplantation.

Dr. Arce is dedicated to student-centered activity, as demonstrated by her experience as a clinical instructor, mentor, and instructor for the University of Southern California’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. She is a member of the APTA Acute Care and Academy of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy sections, and she is an APTA-credentialed Clinical Instructor.
