West Coast University just received the official NCLEX results from the Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) for 2015’s fourth quarter, and the results are outstanding.
Collectively, the campuses reached an 88.6 percent pass rate, more than 5 percent above the California state average quarterly score, and the Dallas campus at approximatey 6 percent above the state of Texas quarterly average.
“Overall, we were five students shy of a 90 percent pass rate across all campuses,” WCU Provost Jeb Egbert, Ed.D. shared. “Huge congratulations to all who continue to relentlessly pursue exceptional outcomes. Our students/graduates will be grateful for the rest of their lives!”
Here are the highlights from the quarterly BRN report:
- Huge kudos to the Los Angeles campus! This is the highest campus outcome for a quarter since the inception of the BSN program at WCU. And it was done with 109 first-time test takers!
- Collectively, this outcome of 88.6 percent eclipses the prior quarterly high of 87.2 percent.
- If only five more students out of 333 had passed, we would have collectively met our goal of 90 percent pass rate!
- Regarding the Virtual ATI program, 226/239 (95 percent) of NCLEX passers had achieved the Green Light.
- The state of California reported having 1,469 out of 1,743 first-time passers for the quarter, or 84.28 percent pass rate. The California WCU campuses came in with a 256/286 (89.5 percent) pass rate, or FIVE PERCENTAGE POINTS ABOVE state average.
