West Coast University-Ontario Hosts Spring 2018 Career Fair

West Coast University-Ontario jumped into Spring with a Career Fair. This season’s fair brought more than 10 recruiters to campus to speak with students about potential opportunities awaiting them after graduation.

WCU-Ontario Career Services Director Michelle Meitner was enthusiastic about the event. The students, she noted, had dressed to impress and ready to show off their impressive portfolios that were prepared with the help of Career Services.

“They’re definitely standing out, our new graduate RNs,” Meitner said.

Kevin Mak, a recent January 2018 grad, said he was ready to get his foot in the door. He arrived to the Career Fair in high hopes of finding a recent grad program to apply. To prepare for the event, he spoke with Career Services representatives who helped him prepare his resume and cover letters for employers.

Although Mak didn’t visit Career Services until his final term at WCU, he recommended current students start utilizing their services as soon as they can to help figure out a plan for their future.

“Don’t wait until graduation,” he said.
