West Coast University-Los Angeles Nursing Students Celebrate Pinning

More than 60 West Coast University-Los Angeles graduates were joined by family, friends and loved ones for their Nurses Pinning Ceremony on Nov. 12.

“It is always a pleasure to see our nursing students at the ceremony,” WCU Director of Student Affairs Gerry Van Booven said. “It’s wonderful to see them come full circle. I get to see them when they come into the program, and then to see them as they leave with their BSN credentials is a treat.

“I personally have seen the growth of many of these students during their time at WCU, and we are all very proud of them,” Van Booven said.

The graduates and guests were welcomed by WCU-LA Executive Director Dr. Timothy Gramling to the Sportsman’s Lodge Events Center in Studio City. WCU Dean of Nursing Dr. Robyn Nelson then discussed the meaning behind the pinning ceremony, and the significance of the WCU BSN Pin.

Roll was called by Ms. Woodi Wooding, while pins and lamps were distributed by Ms. Melody Bradley and Dr. Khadeer Khan. WCU-LA Associate Dean Belinda Bickley lead the nursing pledge, which was followed by student speakers Stella Yu and Jouff Infante. After WCU-LA Dean of Nursing Dr. Regina Rico closed the event, graduates and guests enjoyed refreshments and photo opportunities.

Congratulations to our October 2015 graduates.
