West Coast University Hits Its Stride at CHOC Walk 2016

More than 100 West Coast University associates and faculty participated in the 26th annual “CHOC Walk in the Park” at the Disneyland Resort this October.

“We had our shirts, we had a banner and they announced us as a team when we approached the starting line,” Julie France, WCU clinical development director, said. “It was very festive and a great event to be a part of.”

Nearly 15,000 people overall walked the 5-kilometer route through Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on Halloween weekend, helping raise more than $3 million for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

France said the course was lined with incredible Halloween decorations and along the course, the WCU team met serveral families and their children, who were past CHOC patients. This was WCU’s fourth time at the fundraiser, France added, saying she’s already looking forward to next year.

“We plan on doing it again and CHOC is a great hospital to support, and an awesome clinical partner,” France said.
