Sometimes, life throws you a curveball. WCU-Texas nursing alumna Paola B. didn’t grow up thinking she would be a nurse. In fact, she wanted to be a veterinarian and even went as far as studying for a year to become vet. However, after her grandmother got sick, Paola stepped into a caretaker role and the experience helped her realize that nursing was her true passion.
“My instructors were amazing,” Paola said of her time at West Coast University. “Any time we needed anything, we’d just go knock on their door.”
Having recently passed her NCLEX, Paola found a role as a pediatric IMU nurse. We couldn’t be happier to have her be a part of the WCU alumni family!
