Career Services at West Coast University-Orange County hosted an end-of-summer student appreciation event called “POP in for a popsicle” in early September.

Besides a cool treat, WCU students got to speak with a representative and pick up some hot tips on everything Career Services can do to help start their career in health care.
“P.O.P. actually means preparation, opportunity and professionalism,” WCU-OC Career Services Director Ann Marie Rivera said. “The Career Services team will talk about different types of resources, such as career planning, resume building. They’ll talk to them about volunteer opportunities and share information regarding part-time work, per diem work, maybe as a student-nurse.”
Between bites of popsicle, Rivera told one student who had a job interview to come by her office soon.
“Set up an appointment with us,” she said. “And we can go over your resume in full detail.”
