WCU-Ontario Hosts Its Largest Nursing Career Fair Yet

Recent West Coast University graduates and soon-to-be graduates had a chance to meet with recruiters from more than 16 companies at the WCU-Ontario campus on Sept. 22.

Students met with employers like the Riverside County Medical Center, Chino Valley Medical Center, Loma Linda VA Hospital and U.S. Army Medical Services.

“We’ve had great experience with West Coast grads at our company,” Canyon Ridge Hospital Nurse Educator Megan Gravendyk said. “We’re happy to hire new grads. We really foster leadership at our company and we’re a great resumé builder. Everyone at Canyon Ridge starts out as a charge nurse, which is unusual, so you really get that leadership experience running a unit, running staff, making tough decisions every single day. That’s what we feel we offer for new graduates and that’s what we get from the West Coast grads we do hire.”
