West Coast University-Miami students and faculty recently partnered with Jackson Health to host a no-cost Health Fair to support the local community. Held at the Jackson West Medical Center, the event provided a variety of health screenings and educational sessions — as well as some fun activities for children and families.
With energetic music pumping throughout the event from a local DJ, students from WCU-Miami dedicated their time at the health fair, providing blood glucose screenings, body mass index (BMI) calculations, blood pressure testing, and education about water safety to community members. Face painting, balloon animals, and snacks were also provided to make this family-friendly event fun and engaging for all in attendance.
