Four months after its first commencement ceremony, West Coast University-Miami students and alumni had the chance to attend the first career fair on campus.
Nearly 140 WCU students and alumni met this November to speak with a variety of health care recruiters about employment opportunities in the area.
WCU-Miami Career Services Director Georgette Railic said WCU-Miami alum Maria Castillo gave a simulation center tour and presentation to all employers. Recruiters and alumni were also treated to a VIP luncheon after the event.
“It was an excellent opportunity for students and WCU Miami alumni to network with employers about all of their volunteer and nursing-related employment opportunities,” Railic said. “It was good to finally have our first career fair and we are looking forward to many more in the future.”
