More than 15 healthcare employers filled the lobby of the West Coast University-Los Angeles campus for the fall career fair. The event, put together by the WCU-Los Angeles Career Services team, was to pair students and alumni with recruiters from top hospitals to discuss career options.
Employers such as Keck Medicine of USC, Dignity Health and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles were in attendance. The employers took this opportunity to offer advice, discuss job requirements and assist with the application process.
Rachel Blakenship of Los Angeles County represents the Public Health Department and recruits for LAUSD. While speaking with students, Blankenship offered some insider tips for the attendees.
“We look at your professional appearance and professional demeanor,” Blankenship said. “The most important thing is an open mind.”
