100% First-Time Pass Rate for West Coast University 2015 Dental Hygiene Graduates

Our dental hygiene students are cleaning up! Both 2015 West Coast University dental hygiene cohorts have achieved a 100 percent first-time pass rate on the written National Board Dental Hygiene Exam.

Overall since West Coast University’s dental hygiene program’s first graduating class in 2011, the students have successfully passed this exam the first time at a 98 percent rate.

“We are over the moon for our students who diligently prepared for this exam and are incredibly proud that their hard work and dedication paid off,” WCU Dean of Dental Hygiene Michelle Hurlbutt, RDH, MSDH, DHSc, said.

This is the first of three essential exams that students must pass in order to become a licensed dental hygienist. The cohort will be taking their second exam, the regional clinical board, on Aug. 28-29 at West Coast University.

Wish the students good luck on their bright future ahead!
