Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) refers to a set of clinical interventions and algorithms used to manage and treat cardiac emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. ACLS protocols include advanced airway management, defibrillation, administration of medications (e.g., epinephrine, antiarrhythmics), and post-resuscitation care.
