West Coast University-Ontario Celebrates 81 Newly Pinned Nurses

On April 11, West Coast University-Ontario celebrated the pinning of 81 newly minted bachelor of science in nursing graduates. The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center was filled wall to wall with the friends and family of the graduates eagerly anticipating the start of the ceremony.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome from WCU-Ontario’s Executive Director Mitch Thomas.

“A special thank you to the families, friends, faculty, and associates in attendance,” he said. “Without your dedication to our students, today would not be possible.”

Following messages of congratulations and the history of nursing traditions from campus deans Bart Lerner and Diane Morey, the pinning of the graduates began.

As the graduates crossed the stage to receive their pins, the auditorium erupted in cheers and applause.

The ceremony concluded with a closing remark from campus Nursing Dean Diane Morey congratulating all the graduates and wishing them good luck.

“I am so proud of our students and all that they have accomplished during their time here at West Coast University and I know that they will continue to achieve great things in the future,” she said. “Congratulations class of 2018!”
