No matter how good your organizational skills are, you can’t plan for everything. WCU-Miami alumna Georgia B. learned this the hard way when she had to have emergency surgery during the middle of her BSN program.
“They supported me from day one,” Georgia said of the staff and faculty who stepped in to help ensure she wouldn’t fall behind. “They offered me ways to be able to make up my work, take tests that I missed, make up any assignments, and still manage to graduate on time.”
After graduating in 2018 and passing her NCLEX two months later, Georgia now works at an emergency department in Miami. Check out this video to hear more about Georgia’s story.
