Wayne Fletcher Named West Coast University VP of Operations

West Coast University is pleased to announce that Wayne Fletcher, Ed.D., MBA is the new vice president of operations.

With more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and higher education industries, Dr. Fletcher will be a tremendous addition to West Coast University.

“Coming to West Coast University is like a homecoming for me,” Dr. Fletcher said. “I joined West Coast University when we were 350 students operating out of the top floor of the ACC-Los Angeles facility. I was part of the opening of the Ontario and Anaheim campuses and helped relocate the Los Angeles campus to North Hollywood. Now coming back, it’s exciting to be a part of the future of where West Coast is headed.”

Dr. Fletcher previously served West Coast University in an administrative and operations role from 2006 to 2010 and most recently as the Department of Health Sciences chair at California Baptist University for the past three years. Dr. Fletcher also served as campus executive director for Alta Colleges in Colorado and vice president of network operations at CIGNA HealthCare of Colorado, Inc.

Dr. Fletcher earned a Doctorate of Education and Educational Leadership from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Denver.

“I bring a focus that is about student success and I fully believe that when a student is successful, the university is successful, so that will be my primary focus,” he said.
