On January 9, the Center for Graduate Studies welcomed its inaugural Master of Physician Assistant (MPA) cohort of 50 students, marking the launch of the program.
In their first week, the students dove in with an immersive experience on campus. Faculty and students worked diligently together as they covered an overview of medical equipment, problem-based learning, physical exam techniques and more.
“In two short years, these students will be on an educational journey to become medical providers. They will serve their communities and make an impact on health care shortages across the nation,” said MPA Dean Elizabeth Bunting. “I look forward to graduation when I hear their plans for practicing medicine and the communities they will serve.”
