American Association for Men in Nursing Chapter

The American Association for Men in Nursing (AAMN) Chapter provides a collaborative environment for men to meet and discuss the issues and factors affecting nursing and healthcare. Its purpose is to support and encourage men of all ages to become nurses and lifelong learners, provide opportunities to participate in local and national health projects, and present a forum for students to discuss current trends and best practices in healthcare.

Ontario Chapter Events

6/12/18 - Men in Nursing Event Promotion
Mini event on campus to promote the Ontario Men in Nursing chapter's inaugural meeting on June 20th and the upcoming annual Men in Nursing event to be held on June 26, 2018.

6/20/18 - Men in Nursing Chapter Meeting
Inaugural chapter meeting to discuss goals, objectives and upcoming events to include a Skype appearance from current AAMN President Elect.

6/26/18 - Men in Nursing Exhibitor
Chapter to host a table at the 2nd Annual Men in Nursing Event to encourage chapter membership and discuss upcoming events.

7/1/18 - Men in Nursing Exhibitor
Chapter members to present at the Orange County campus to discuss benefits of AAMN membership and encourage students to launch an Orange County MIN chapter.

8/30/18 - Boy Scouts of America Tour
Ontario chapter members to host Boy Scouts on campus to provide exposure to the nursing field. Participants will tour the campus, explore the skills labs, and engage in interactive activities. The Boy Scouts gain a badge for participation.

11/14/18 - Men in Nursing Exhibitor
Chapter members to present at the North Hollywood campus to discuss benefits of AAMN membership and encourage students to launch a North Hollywood MIN chapter.

11/10/18 - Adelante Youth Alliance
Chapter to participate in this event as an exhibitor and conduct a workshop on “Life as a Nurse.” Event features prominent keynote speakers, and career and education workshops presented by male professionals - including special workshops for parents, mentors, teachers, and counselors. Exhibitor showcases by universities, employers and community.
