WCU Student Spotlight: John Watson

Posted on 06/03/2019

It is truly inspiring to hear how our students are doing in their clinical experience. John Watson shared with us this week that he completed his last clinical rotation at CHOC, which was also his last clinical rotation at West Coast University. As one of our 10 students that completed the Transition into Practice Program at our OC campus this term, he shared with us: "Being in this program has helped me transition from a student to a nurse. The school showed the hospital that I was a qualified nurse. This opportunity gave me a competitive advantage in a competitive field, so I feel more visible to recruiters and more confident in my job applications." He went on to say, "This whole experience has been so humbling and it wouldn't have been possible without you and your team's vision."   Wishing you the best of luck moving forward! Below is a picture of John in his TIPP scrubs with his preceptor.
