WCU School of Pharmacy Preceptor Appreciation Event

Contemporary Forums partnered with West Coast University’s School of Pharmacy to support the second WCU Preceptor Appreciation and Professional Development Seminar in October.

About 40 community partners attended the event and received ACPE credit due to the partnership with Contemporary Forums. Topics covered included: Cholesterol management, immunization, pharmacy law and regulations and pharmacists’ patient care process. WCU also named Preceptor of the Year Award recipients at the event.

Masood Malik, PharmD, MBA was named Preceptor of the Year for Community Practice. Dr. Massok has been Pharmacy Manager and Clinical Pharmacist for Costco Pharmacy for the past 20 years. Preceptor of the Year for Institutional Practice was awarded to Richard Carvotta, RPh, MBA, Director of Pharmacy Services at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital.
