WCU-Dallas Students Step Up To 'Be the Match'

Posted on 02/21/2018

West Coast University-Dallas held its second “Be the Match” bone marrow donor registration on Feb. 21 and had 15 students volunteer to be placed on the donor registry.

The “Be the Match” organization works primarily with universities and colleges in areas that have a need for donors. This specific event was held in hopes of finding a match for a 5-year-old boy named Julian who has dyskeratosis congenita, a disease that causes bone marrow failure.

WCU-Dallas is hoping to partner with “Be the Match” and hold events like this twice a year on campus.
