Recruiters Return to WCU-OC Career Fair to Acquire Talent

Posted on 11/27/2018

More than 15 employers gathered into the lobby of West Coast University-Orange County for their fall Career Fair. Students flooded the lobby to network and apply for their dream job. Employers such as Children’s Hospital Orange County, DaVita, Torrance Memorial Hospital and Ro Health were among the attendees.

For some of the employers, this was their first career fair with West Coast University. For employers like Ro Health, it’s an opportunity to come back to a school they enjoy networking with.

“I love hiring the nurses that WCU produces,” Peter Cohan, a professional recruiter for Ro Health commented, “About 80 percent of our nurses that work in the Los Angeles area come from West Coast University.”

Students were ecstatic to get to know the employers that partner with WCU for these career fairs. It’s an opportunity to make connections and gain valuable advice before going into the interview process.

Melissa Castro, a BSN Alumni from 2018, even landed her first job while attending the career fair.

“I got a job offer right away,” Castro stated proudly, “You go through this whole program and it really pays off and it works. I have a job now!”
