MPH - Master of Public Health

MPH Curriculum

A focused online MPH program curriculum designed to build skills and confidence.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) online program curriculum at West Coast University is designed to help you gain an advanced perspective on issues, processes, and resources to prepare you for a variety of leadership roles. This general public health online program curriculum gives students the opportunity to test core areas of public health—and helps prepare graduates for entry-level (Tier I roles) and supervisory level (Tier II) in public health. Management courses are built into the curriculum.  MPH courses curriculum focus on health promotion, environmental health, epidemiologic research methods, health leadership, and health policy, culminating in a capstone project intended to integrate essential concepts, attitudes, and behaviors.

Full-Time Students: During their first trimester are concurrently enrolled in PH500 and HA 530; and PH 560 and PH 565 must be taken concurrently during the last term of the last trimester.

Part-Time Students: During their first trimester are enrolled in PH 500 during the first term; and HA 530 must be taken during the second term of their first trimester.  Additionally, PH 560 must be taken one term prior to PH 565. PH 565 must be taken during the last term of the last trimester.

Course sequences will vary based on academic term the student entered the online MPH program.
