RN to MSN - Family Nurse Practitioner

Onsite Intensives

During your time as an RN to MSN online student in the family nurse practitioner program at West Coast University, you will have the opportunity to participate in two weekend intensives.*

These intensive workshops bring students and expert faculty together to engage in person in the demonstration and practicing of essentials skills and competencies needed by nurse practitioners, as well as clinical evaluations where students perform demonstration of these skills. These intensive sessions are dynamic and rich in content, and our highly skilled and engaging faculty makes these experiences enjoyable as well as educational.

*Program requirements include two (2) 3-day On-site Intensive (OSI) weekends and precepted hours in order to graduate. Students enrolled through the Orange County campus must complete their OSI’s in California and students enrolled through the Dallas campus must complete their OSI’s in Texas. Travel costs are not included in tuition and fees, and students are responsible for arranging transportation. Graduates will be able to apply for certification with the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) through "Method One", for more information about certification application requirements, please visit the California Board of Registered Nursing at, https://www.rn.ca.gov/pdfs/applicants/np-app.pdf.
