Health and Safety

West Coast University programs are designed with your safety in mind. Locations are carefully reviewed to ensure an enriching, yet safe, experience for students. Students are, however, a part of the health and safety team for international education. Below are a few reminders and tips for students planning to participate in a program abroad.
Medical Insurance
All participants are required to have medical insurance. Students should check with their primary insurance carrier to ensure adequate coverage for accident, illness, or long-term disability while abroad. It is also important to note any changes in coverage, claims processing, or network providers on-site.
Additional Insurance coverage
Students may elect to purchase additional health and travel insurance for the duration of their program. West Coast University does not recommend any particular vendor, but recommends doing research to decide the best insurance for your needs.
