Danielle Sperandeo Named WCU Associate Provost, Center for Graduate Studies Executive Director

West Coast University is excited to announce that Danielle Sperandeo has been appointed to the newly developed position of associate provost for graduate education and executive director for the Center for Graduate Studies.

“Please join us in congratulating and supporting Danielle Sperandeo in her new role with West Coast University,” WCU President Bill Clohan said in a statement. “We are proud to fill this essential role with such a qualified individual within our own organization and are confident in Ms. Sperandeo’s leadership and expertise to lead the Center for Graduate Studies and graduate programs in this new role.”

In this position, Ms. Sperandeo will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the CGS campus and will report to Chief Operating Officer Dr. Wayne Fletcher. In addition, Danielle will assume responsibility for overseeing all CGS and online graduate programs, with the exception of nursing, and will report to Provost Dr. Jeb Egbert for that role.

Ms. Sperandeo joined WCU-Ontario in its start-up phase of development as the academic dean in January 2009. She was appointed Ontario executive director in November 2010, where she led the transformation of the campus from associate degree-granting to bachelor degree-granting and grew the student body from less than 100 to today’s population of more than 1,200. She is also instrumental in WCU-Ontario’s growth to one of our outcomes’ leaders in graduation, NCLEX and placement rates.

Ms. Sperandeo earned her master degree in education from Claremont Graduate University and her bachelor of arts in psychology from CSU Fullerton. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in conflict analysis and resolution at Nova Southeastern University.
